Live a Passionate, Creative Life in Your Sober Living Home

Freedom is just another word action that people take for granted. But how do you ‘act’ free? Do you feel that you cannot have an exciting life because you are afraid of relapsing? Maybe you have been told that you have to “be careful” so that you won’t go back to your old ways.

You should be careful. But not too careful. The more you limit yourself, the more stressed out you will be, and the greater tendency there is to relapse.

Life does not have to be bland or boring in order for you to stay clean and sober. It’s just the opposite. As addicts we are used to living a wild and passionate life – just for the wrong reasons.

Allow yourself to be passionate in other ways; constructive ways.  Live a passionate, creative life in your sober living home. Don’t let anyone repress the real you.

We need one another’s understanding, companionship, and compassion while living in a sober living environment - because those who aren’t in recovery don’t always know how to be there for us. On the other side of the coin, it’s easy to let others get in the way of our growth. This is especially true if we are too close to each other.
