Live a Passionate, Creative Life in Your Sober Living Home

Freedom is just another word action that people take for granted. But how do you ‘act’ free? Do you feel that you cannot have an exciting life because you are afraid of relapsing? Maybe you have been told that you have to “be careful” so that you won’t go back to your old ways.

You should be careful. But not too careful. The more you limit yourself, the more stressed out you will be, and the greater tendency there is to relapse.

Life does not have to be bland or boring in order for you to stay clean and sober. It’s just the opposite. As addicts we are used to living a wild and passionate life – just for the wrong reasons.

Allow yourself to be passionate in other ways; constructive ways.  Live a passionate, creative life in your sober living home. Don’t let anyone repress the real you.

The Serenity Prayer is not just used at the beginning and end of each NA/AA meeting. Each NA/AA 12 step meeting contains elements of the serenity prayer in one way or another.

Whether it’s a step meeting, a reading from an NA book called Living Clean, a speaker meeting, or a reading from an NA book How it Works – we can easily glean at least one principle from the serenity prayer in each meeting we attend.

Why not make the very most of your 12 step meetings and NA Book(s) by fully embracing the serenity prayer and practicing what you learn to overcome your addiction?
